LasVegasCards, thanks for your review. If cardhandling is important, the USPCC is the best followed by Cartamundi. Our main complaint against USPCC is their poor registration on some decks.

This is the largest discrepancy between aesthetics and handle that I have come across in my collection.

Ha, I just received a reproduction deck I got on one of Roope’s eBay finds. The art is great, but like you said, it’s literally printed on thin cardboard. I’ve got to get some pics and post them this weekend.Bradius wrote:I need to send you some cards then, that have great art and are printed on..I kid you not...basically cardboard.

@LasVegasCards - Great to read these comments. That said, I've printed a few decks from WJPC and they are being used by cardists while receiving good feedback on the finish, handling & stock. You just need to understand that these printers have got different stocks & finishes at various price points, and first experience should not dissuade you from trying out another deck from same printer. My 2 cents.LasVegasCards wrote:So this was one of my first KS backs before I really knew what I was doing (I still don't). I love the tucks and 9 USD shipped for early bird is what got me. I now know why the decks were so affordable; WJPC is just bad. The cards handle poorly. I paid 27 for three tucks that will look good in display and a lesson to never buy anything from this printer again. There's my review for anyone considering after market.

That is great info. Should I be interested in another deck printed by WJPC I won't write it off at the outset and find out more. Whatever this stock was for Cyberpunk didn't work for me.guru wrote:@LasVegasCards - Great to read these comments. All of these decks (Gold, Green and Purple) are now available at your favorite Murphy's Magic retailer.

Re: Cyberpunk Playing Cards by EPC
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick heads up that due to popular request, Cyberpunk now comes in Blue (with black card faces) and PVC (Black PVC stock with gold and silver metallic inks).
Cyberpunk Blue:
- Printed by WJPC on butter finish.
- Blue foil + embossing on the tuxk
- Black air cushioned card stock with bright blue highlights
Cyberpunk PVC
- Printed by WJPC on 0.3mm pure Black PVC
- Dual-foil + embossed tuckbox (it is SHINY!)
- metallic gold + silver inks on the card faces (warning; they are a bit dull in low-light conditions)
This brings the total Cyberpunk range to 6 decks. 1 more and I'm calling it done for this series, but that's for another day.
This isn't a hype post - they are already out on Amazon and will be up on the website as soon as I get around to sorting out the pages

Re: Cyberpunk Playing Cards by EPC
Quite the bump but the 7th deck is finally out and I'm super disappointed. Was looking forward to it because this set was a great entry-level set at a reasonable price and a cool look, but at $55 for this one I'm probably gonna pass on finishing it.

I really like the looks of the Ultra deck but I won't be getting it at $55. Yowza.

Re: Cyberpunk Playing Cards by EPC
yeah, imo, a foil on both sides with gilding deck and full featured tuck should be in the $30 to $35 range. this tuck looks pretty plain. matte and foil but no embossing. i suppose the outer box that it comes in could add another $10 if you are into that. overall not a $55 deck that i would pay for. BUT, if you look at some other decks like the recent gilded cherry casino deck, this is a WAAAAYYY better value and more reasonable.

For the next few days, use "EPCSPECIAL" as your discount code at checkout to receive their pre-Black Friday 20% discount. Brings the cost per deck down to just below $45 per. Still a little rich for my blood, and I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but it *is* closer to being a trigger-pulling event for me.

Re: Cyberpunk Playing Cards by EPC
I'm glad you like it, and though while it was the final deck in this series it was never meant to be an entry point deck like the others.
Given the cost of Cartamundi's double sided cold foil, the full suite of features and the display box, we couldn't have done it for much less while still offering free shipping. When I looked around for comparable decks, almost all are more expensive (even before adding shipping costs!).
We've sold a lot of Cyberpunk decks and this version was intended for the fans of the artwork (like our Medieval Royal is not for everyone as well). We have never been about pushing scarcity and limited runs to inflate pricing, this is an exception where the production costs are much higher.

Yea for what it's worth I didn't think it was an issue of high mark up, with all the features I get that it's way more to produce, just more than I would have liked to spend on itFud wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 3:51 pm I'm glad you like it, and though while it was the final deck in this series it was never meant to be an entry point deck like the others.
