Was my thought as well. Definetly a candidate for Best Pips. Very artsy yet - at least for my perception - easily distinguishable.PipChick wrote: pips on this deck!

You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash thatβs being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

Faunae has some potential in several categories, Best new artist, best pips, best use of color, maybe even DOTY depending on the competition. I am not ruling out nominating it for any of those categories. My only concern is that it's courts use animals. While I am fine with it (Frankly, it would ruin the theme with people for courts. I mean people draped in animal fur...no.). That issue alone may hold it back in some categories.
In any event, it really is a beautiful set of decks. If you missed it, you should consider picking up one before they get really hard to find. I know playingcarddecks.com had some, and I am sure some other retailers had a few. You can also get it directly from Brain Vessel's website for $18. They also have dice, cards and other stuff.

I'm glad it's not just me, I'm biased because I sure do love me some forest critters but this deck really proved to be the most pleasant surprise for me this year. It's rare for me to keep looking at something I already like and finding new reasons to like it even more, but this deck does that.

I don't need humans as courts. I didn't get the deck due to several reasons, but that reason never occured to me. Are there really people out there that want explicitly humans as courts?Bradius wrote:My only concern is that it's courts use animals.

I'm bummed that I missed out on this kickstarter. Still managed to get the two decks at fairly reasonable prices.
They are my favorite decks in my collection so far.
Dear Jon Carraher: Please do more fully custom decks. Your art is amazing and I will happily support future campaigns.

You can also purchase these decks from Brain Vessel directly: https://brainvessel.com/
They also have the coins, dice and prints for sale. I don't get coins often, but I do think this one was especially nice. There are actually two coins. For some reason I purchased the one with a squirrel.
