I quite like the courts. Back design less abstract/modern and it would be a winner for me.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

Love the concept of a bunch of puzzles built into a deck.
Looking to buy (DM me if selling please!):
-Limbo v1 decks: Escape, Ennui, Cage
-2018 NPCCD: Green Pawn & Missing Island Prototypes

This comment is mod-approved if you're able to see it.

This guy must be very, very proud of his shipping because it's expensive. Must be the seriously good stuff and not just the bubble wrapped deck stuffed in a mailer that Art of Play usually does, cause this is more expensive than they're usual shipping price too.

This is a very interesting campaign. Hey David, did your strange shipping and weird pricing talk me out of backing?

Absolutely right by the way, knowledge is power. We know you're price gouging. ;)
Nice jokers, I like them.
TL:DR It's completely up to you.
We can still be friends.

Jumping in here to help clarify. David is a first time Kickstarter creator, however we all worked on this campaign together and I'm running the Kickstarter behind the scenes as a collaborator. I can assure you everything here is legit and we worked hard on this for almost a year to get everything right. USPCC has the files and is ready to go.

Regarding shipping, as of today July 1, 2020 International First Class rates have gone up so we had to account for that. Most people pledge for two decks, having been shipping decks myself for years these numbers are very accurate to shipping costs plus up to $2 handling and materials. All decks are to be packed and shipped extremely well (Decks placed in bubble wrap sleeve, then place in an Indestructo box that fits the deck or decks, then placed in either a bubble wrap envelope or depending on order, a padded box. As soon as I implanted this shipping platform for decks, I haven't received one email about a dent or ding found on the box because of shipping.

We're looking forward to sharing something fun and unique with the puzzle and playing card audiences.

Hey Chris! I hope you've been well and able to enjoy a little summer in these troubled times. :)

As of today July 1st 2020. I'm still not international. I still know what shipping rates are. I know what's done with shipping. I still own at least three bricks of your own product, probably four left come to think of it. While I am absolutely a noob, I've still backed over 750 Kickstarters. This shipping IS gouging. I don't want to argue over it, I use USPS too like 330 million other americans. I just bought some decks today that will be shipped to me in a box with bubble wrap and all the things for protection. It is what it is and what it is, simply put, is gouging. At the premium price of this deck, I'd say that box is covered on that side alone. Charging an additional $2 on domestic shipping is nonsense and wrong. If the shipping was simply a mistake and has been added to the campaign incorrectly due to human error, well it happens doesn't it?

I think this is one of those 100% profit kickstarters though. I don't think this is one of those have the product printed and ship it to backers kind of kickstarter campaigns, the break even sorts. No, I think it's one of those "You're going to pay me to make the product you never knew existed AND you're going to pay me ship it to you." campaigns, the 100% profit on every angle. That's the way it looks anyway. Certainly from a first time creator it's not the best way to exude trustworthy vibes. Those vibes are hard to shake, it's KS where backers are hosed daily after all. David did a nice video though, minus the sound, bit loud and raw there.

Anyway, as always I wish you well. Great to hear from you Chris! ;)

By the way fellas who love the idea of a puzzle in a tuck box. Over 1500 Variants of Solitaire in every box of playing cards. A whole TON of puzzles! Even more games can be played if you include other people. No need to deal with shipping gouging to have that happen. :P

I hear ya man, thank you for your support of the Imps and I'm very happy to hear that you still have some with you. It's refreshing to hear a thoughtful response from someone. I can say that the shipping prices were not intentionally set to gouge anyone out of money. 100% not our intent and I'm sorry if it appears as such. Currently the plan is to fulfill this ourselves, but hope we can secure Art of Play to fulfill orders if we exceed a certain amount of orders.

I can honestly say after all my kickstarter campaigns, I still can't get the shipping 100% right...meaning I've lost money on shipping out rewards as a whole in all my campaigns. Packing these orders takes a lot of time. If I'm not shipping out rewards myself (on top of a full time job), I drive down to San Diego and ship with Art of Play to speed things up. If we don't charge more than actual shipping rates, we lose money on shipping because we're not including the cost of shipping materials from Uline. I think it's worth beefing up the packing materials and not using just the free stuff from USPS. I believe when a customer receives a deck or more in the mail from me, they see that we take care and pride in not only the product but the protection of that product in the package. Imagine if we did what Amazon did...throw a deck in a big box with one or two air pouches.

I don't think I'll ever get it right or make 100% of the people happy with these things. Shipping is the the most consistent complaint I hear from other Kickstarter creators & backers and that certainly goes for my campaigns as well. I look forward to the day when Kickstarter can incorporate accurate shipping for each backer...only then, I think, will it all work out perfectly (fingers crossed they are working on it). Additionally I'll always offer a refund of the difference to people who can find a better rate with USPS. Not in the business of shipping, I'm in the side business of producing awesome decks of cards.

Today we added the Limited Edition Red puzzle hunt deck to the campaign.

The plan is to die-cut the windows on the back of the tuck, exposing the card backs inside:

Can we only pledge for one Red Puzzle Deck?

So this was a tough one. We spent great deal of time discussing this and went back and forth on it but unfortunately for this campaign, we cannot offer the reds individually as the campaign is for the blues and we're only able to make the reds as a result of the blue decks funding being raised. That said, we truly don't know how many we will have to make until the end of the campaign. If there are any remaining decks available after all rewards have been distributed, we will be able to make them available online or otherwise.
