Here's @broken_isnt_bad's side of the story, TODAY, between my dms with her:PiazzaDelivery wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 2:00 pm For what it's worth, I sent her a message on instagram to get her side of the story and she says that everything is squared away with broken_isnt_bad. Not a fan of the deck anyway, but just saying.
I am not providing a screenshot of our private messages due to the fact that I do not want her to be dragged in and called out when the issue is clearly damaging her mental health. Screenshots are too direct of an evidence that may cause her more trouble.@broken_isnt_bad wrote:the thing is that they don’t want to accept the responsibility for their actions and are passing on the blame to each other (Emily and Destino). both say that it’s not the same artwork when in reality, it’s just slightly changed - with added colors, shattered bulb glass is different, .etc
Emily keeps claiming that it’s her own idea.. I know many people have very simiral ideas, but in the end, the result is never the same - that’s why I actually blame her designer - he is most responsible for stealing the artwork. I understand why she sent reference images for him to take some inspiration and envision her idea, but he should have made his own artwork, something unique and different.
Actually, when they contacted me a couple of days ago, I thought they had already made the decks and there was no turning back. I just now realized they are having a KS campaign.
I don’t want to make a big deal out of it, tbh these things happen to me on a weekly basis and I’m already so tired of it. had been frustrated for a long time, but it’s not good for my health.
That’s why I really appreciate it when someone stands up for me

“Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you.”

Soo... I made this illustration almost 4 years ago and it has been very popular ever since. I realized many people had shared it, used it for various applications, both personal and commercial, and maybe even tattooed it - without even trying to find the original artist / without my prior consent or giving due credits. Lately, there has been a polemic against the deck of playing cards that has a very similar illustration on its card back, only in color, and which was obviously inspired by this illustration /or should I say - copied.
I just wanted to share this work with you once again and to tell you; if you want to use any of my artworks (or someone else’s work) for your projects, personal things, your writing account, etc. always make sure to contact me. It’s not much work to do a little research and try to find an original artist, and please avoid pretending that there hasn’t been any signature or a link. Every artwork you find on google, pinterest, facebook belongs to someone - we don’t put it out there just for you to take it for free. Yes, we do share it with you for free because we want you to enjoy it and we are glad when it’s been shared with your friends, but we are definitely not happy seeing someone’s taking it and pretending it was their own work/idea.
I want to thank to all the lovely people who have stood up for me in this situation and backed me up! It means so much to me! Also, thank you to all who has been sharing my work with credits (mentioning my IG or FB page), supporting me by purchasing tattoo permissions, or just speaking highly about it
