This little bit of info is just casually tucked away on Captan Card Co's site

In partnership with the Fitzgerald Estate, the Captan Card Co. will create the first ever deck of luxury playing cards for THE GREAT GATSBY. It will be released in 2023 for the 98th Anniversary of the historic novel

I love the art deco inspiration! The movie poster with Leo DiCaprio had similar art deco style.

I’m still interested but I’m not a fan of that seal at all. Maybe it’s the colour or the seal covering the design but not a fan at the moment.

Wow, what I see of the art so far freakin' NAILS IT.

You have my attention, sir!

That said... I didn't read this book in high school when most of my classmates did (long story short; I had switched English classes mid-year and left one teacher's class before she got to it and joined the other class after they'd finished it.) I read it about ten years ago or so just to see what the fuss was about.

I'm reading along, reading along... yeah, this is good, but it's not like it's all that.

And then I get to this line on the last page, and given the context of everything that had come before, it just absolutely wrecked me:

I realize art affects us all in different ways, and different folks took different things away from this novel, but holy crap. That line out of context is just good writing. But for me, in the context of the novel, that line is one of the most devastating sentences I've ever read.

I like what I've seen so far and I like that seal a lot. The contrast of the bright green with the rest of the tuck is very evocative.
