Curious if the court cards will appeal to me. I'm a big fan of the series and franchise.

Remember that in GoT, there are houses. Possibly it's just color change game on the tuck box and the backs.
Just like in Harry Potter Playing Cards
LET'S GO! It's Peter Voth who designed it! He did phenomenal job for Wonka Playing Cards

When I saw that Winter is Coming, I thought of p52's present situation....No king rules forever!

Re: Game of Thrones by T11
Pretty sure that the 4 new releases implies that there are 3 things other than Game of Thrones coming on Friday, not 4 different versions of Game of Thrones itself.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it looks like they are dropping 4 different IP decks and not 4 different GOT decks.

Re: Game of Thrones by T11
Why are people taking the comment to mean that he was talking about the new releases when saying what many would agree; there will be more...4 in total possibly. Was it implied somewhere? My understanding is that the comment about having 4 variants is separate from the fact of the 3 more surprise releases. Whatever it turns out to be, I don't see the 2 correlating in his comment.

That was my intent but I can see how people saw it differently because they talk about four releases in the post.JazzBaloo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 12:59 pm Why are people taking the comment to mean that he was talking about the new releases when saying what many would agree; there will be more...4 in total possibly. What I was trying to say was there are going to be other variants like HP. Whether it’s now or over time.

4 houses equals 4 suits also. I can't see who they would put on the courts of all the other decks if they did 4 decks.

The same as they did with HP. The exact same characters with only a tuck swap.ShuffleUpandDeal wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 6:26 pm 4 houses equals 4 suits also. I can't see who they would put on the courts of all the other decks if they did 4 decks.

Looks like the third release is the Silver Foil Edition for 007. What a random assortment of IPs

Unbelievable that they keep pushing their IP deck that has way lot of missed opportunities... first they make it Gold to be sold with a special pen, now Silver for the BF.KGthePrince wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 8:22 pm Looks like the third release is the Silver Foil Edition for 007. Re: Game of Thrones by T11
As per usual from Theory11, a great tuck with soulless courts.
HBO missed out on a big opportunity when running their trademark through the franchise mill of Theory11, instead of hiring inspired artists to give their characters some life and an interesting approach.
On a positive note, the comical bobble head design of their LoTR courts didn't carry over to this one as well.
The back designs may look alright in a poster format but as a card back it's just a greyish mess.
What a pity.

Soulless courts? Don't know what you're smoking. Reach out to Peter Voth (who is a highly respected designer in this forum) and tell him that yourself if you really believe that. People are so funny sometimeswonderfulfacts wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 5:21 pm As per usual from Theory11, a great tuck with soulless courts.

Re: Game of Thrones by T11
This is a joke right?
That's like saying I also have to like every track Aerosmith ever made because 'they are actually highly regarded in the music industry'.
People are so narrow-minded sometimes and luckily this take that people are not allowed to have different opinions on art isn't something that seems to be the general mindset in this forum.

Re: Game of Thrones by T11
I don’t think it’s a matter of you aren’t allowed to have opinions. I think it’s about how bias you sound. From reading your comments, I take it as you viewed T11 is bad and every deck they made are crap. Sure, T11 is bad on them deciding to not tagging the artists who did their decks (perhaps they’re afraid the spotlight will not be on them)
Peter Voth worked hard on this deck, and all of his efforts are poured onto this deck (he also did for Wonka Playing Cards). At least he and Kevin Cantrell (who did LotR) did well.

Fine, you got me.
While a few of “His Highness” creations are not that bad, I still extremely dislike him for trying so hard to stay relevant and still piggybacking on the Buck Twins for their resources. His behavior of “removing comments” and block those who are actually speaks up of his brand are still held accountable.
