Re: KWP Wallace
adding some context
originally it was supposed to be black and...tan?
but he has started playing with coloring it (pretty sure this is still just the first shot and things like the outline will be fixed

As an homage, he should sell this deck for FREEdom.
Does anyone have a link to the KS?

Re: KWP Wallace
Have you noticed how often the background color for Jackson's decks is some shade of buff.
If you haven't noticed - Don't Look as once you have noticed you cannot unsee it
It has got me beat why he does not use an off white or cream. These colors work with old themes and look much better IMO - like he used for Bird
I have asked him at least three times on Discord which deck color Wallace most resembles but he won't answer

Re: KWP Wallace
I'm not backing primarily because I don't feel an emotional attachment to it, especially since I don't know the significance of the individuals on the courts, nor am I inclined to look into it (because I can forget such details). The art and deck itself are top notch, however. Visually speaking, it's wonderful. I really like the artwork.

I notice that it has 3 Melbourne backers. Are you UC members - if so, we are missing out on the opportunity to network and reduce shipping on many purchases

Re: KWP Wallace
The indicies being so close to the inner border really bother me for some reason, they just look off to me.
I'm not super interested in these, it's a worthy topic it's somehow not connecting for me.

Re: KWP Wallace
I took another look at this one. I like it but im not wowed by it. I want to support Jackson's work as hes one of my favortie designers, but there are a few things about this one that hold me back. One is that I preferred the original gold background of the monochromatic deck to the silver he's using now. I also prefer the spot cards of the gilded decks, but don't like the card backs and tucks for those. Also the shipping is waaaaaaay higher than it normally is for his decks. Not sure what's up with that. $14 shipping to be paid later for a single deck is kinda nuts. So Im passing on this one for now. If I change my mind I'll buy it from his site later assuming the shipping prices are back to normal or get it from the secondary market.

Re: KWP Wallace
Jackson thought I had too many criticisms when I raised that indices issue on Discord and suggested no inner border
I know it is an art deck and although I can appreciate the pips for the gilded decks, I like my decks to be playable so I have only gone for the standard Alba. I am worried the backs and tucks of the gilded decks may be too much bling for me and yet I am in for a metal collectors card for that seems to be what that gold pic was really made for and I don't think Jackson has done a metal card before.

Re: KWP Wallace
I went back and forth on this campaign. Started with two decks, bumped it up to three, but finally settled on just one.

Re: KWP Wallace
Jackson has updated the KS page, saying that it is on-track for July, mentioning that it is coming by sea which takes 30-40 days.
Sea freight would want to be massively cheaper in order to put up with such a long delay.
I am happy with just Standard Alba as the B/W pip cards for the gilded look like they need coloring in (which is the Standard Caledonia) plus I am not into shiny backs and tucks

Re: KWP Wallace
Tribute to Scotia's independence... well, turned out great I guess.
Some will hate the one-way courts but I like that Jackson uses the cards as his canvas for art. He should have teached other designers first how to do transitions for two-way courts though, as I found this to be one of his fortes in the past, haha. Solid design as always.
