Re: Too Many Requests message
We will still need to make sure it doesn’t all come to a crashing halt again, but it is a nice break

Re: Too Many Requests message
It probably comes down to whether we have been stopping 'the guests' or whether they have just taken a holiday from work

Re: Too Many Requests message
Here's a quick update: I had called the service provider and told them what we suspect would be necessary to help, and they told me they'd really love to help me, but gosh darn it, without the PIN number that I'd get on their site if I entered the password (that I don't have), they just can't help me. While I know that to be... less than entirely true, it *is* possible that the techs at this person's level are not able to get in without the PIN. So, I strongly requested to elevate my request, and the tech confirmed my contact information, and said he'd see if he could get them to help out.
The site appeared to have gotten better shortly thereafter, and our wonderful community member who has been helping out said it wasn't a result of anything *he* had done, so *maybe* the folks there actually worked on it?
But... then it got bad again, and we struggled a little bit... and then it cleared up again a couple days later. So far, it's held steady since then, but it's only been a couple days, so who knows?
We can't really hold on indefinitely and hope things stay steady. Now is the time to fix the roof, rather than waiting until the next time it rains.
Toward that end, we have two potential ISPs we can go with. One is easy peasy from one standpoint, the other is easy peasy from another standpoint. The pricing between the two options will ultimately come out to be about the same. So, I'm currently trying to set up a stand-alone account with one ISP, and if that works out the way we hope, we'll likely be moving soonishly. If it takes too long for the support team at that ISP to get back to me, I'll pull the trigger on the second option, and then we'll likely be moving soonishly plus a day or two.
Of course... maybe Alex Chin is reading this and *he* intervened with our current ISP, and that's why things are working so much smoother in these past couple days. In which case... maybe he could get a message to us that we don't have to find a new home...?

Re: Too Many Requests message
Seems like the number of guests has been slowly but steadily climbing. The 1444 I just noticed is about as high as it's been since the big blowup and subsequent systems work.

Re: Too Many Requests message
The error is very sporadic for me and seems to come in waves where I'll get the error a few days in a row and then not again for weeks. And often reloading the site a couple times is enough to circumvent the problem.
