I'm a big fan of classic restoration decks, because I can't afford to buy the originals, and I wouldn't really be able to use originals for fear of damaging them.

But when you own new restoration decks, you can really use them; and they add amazing character and storytelling to any card tricks they are used in.

Think of some of your favorite card tricks that include storytelling, and just imagine how much more interesting those same tricks would be using classic decks from the 1800's instead of modern cards...

And that is why I'm backing any of the decks that Michael Scott chooses to restore; because they give me incredible possibilities!

Try doing Alex Elmsley's "One Poor Lion," or perhaps Sal Piacente's "Paint Poker" with a restoration deck; and you'll raise these tricks to a whole new level.

What card tricks can you name that would be even more visually exciting with 19th. Century (or earlier) Restoration decks?

Considering how rare these decks are in their original faded form, I'm shocked that Backers would ever hold off on pledging for these decks that we will never own otherwise!
