2+2 is $73 shipped to me which is $18+ per deck. Simply not worth that to me.

Hey Strag, What about the Coat of Arms Deck, it is priced well and I priced discounted pricing for mulitple decks for the Coat of Arms as well. There is the 3 decks for $30 which is $10.00 a deck or 2 Coat of Arms Decks for $22.00

Hope you pick up a few decks! Thanks

I wanted to breakout some of the pricing on the deck rewards.

There is still the $29.00 tier = $14.50 a deck - you get the Limited Edition Dark Ages and 1 Coat of Arms Decks.

There is still the $55.00 tier = $13.75 a deck - you get 2 - Limited Edition Dark Ages and 2 Coat of Arms Decks.

There is still the $75.00 tier = $12.50 a deck - you get 3 Limited Edition Dark Ages and 3 Coat of Arms Decks.

Hope this helps!

Limited Edition Deck was priced with what similar limited editions have gone for with Embossed Tuck, Gold Foil, Metallic Ink on the back of the Card, and Metallic Ink on all the Cards, Limited Edition Sticker under the Cello Wrap, plus limited Edition Sticker with the # of the deck on the Wrap.

Thanks for all of the support and please keep spreading the word!

Thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

Yes those are all true, but unfortuantely I am international and I do consider shipping as part of the cost. The average cost I have been paying for decks on KS with the features you mention (including shipping) has been $12 per although increasing slightly. As I said previously, I personally cannot justify $18+/deck shipped unless the deck blows my socks off. Afraid this one doesn't.

So good news, bad news here. Bad news- the project is not going to be funded. Good news- it's going to be relaunched in a month or two with supposedly cheaper decks:
Here's how the RELAUNCH will be successful:

Lowering the minimum order of decks I have to purchase in order to lower the goal from $27,000 to closer to $15,000 to $18,000.
Lower the price on the Dark Ages Deck.
Offer reward packages.
I sure hope the relaunch will be successful!

We're taking the cost of shipping+handling out of the prices for CL, and in fact it will be actual shipping+handling to the point of delivery. Justin and I have talked a good bit, but I am not privy to his extended plans. I'd love to see this run on 1-August and done by Expert PCC to help with the cost overhead!

I wholeheartedly disagree. The fact that this is a Bicycle-branded deck is the main reason I pledged.

I'm in the "I couldn't care less if it's a Bicycle branded deck." Buying brands doesn't interested me when the other options are cheaper and the quality is superior. USPCC hasn't innovated at the same pace as the other smaller companies. I prefer the feel of an EPCC or a Legends deck that a Bicycle deck these days. Even MPC has upped their quality recently. Hopefully they can shake the problems they had a while ago. I think the best way forward is to lower the minimum goal and pass the savings on to backers, but still get the percentage you want (hopefully more).

Which company is superior is subjective. You think EPCC produces a better product, while I think USPCC puts out better decks. Yes there have been improvements on both sides, but I still think USPCC holds the torch in superior products. While I'll buy a deck if it's not branded, I do tend to lean more to ones that do have Bicycle branding. But I won't buy one just because it has 'Bicycle' across the top.

That said though, if a project will actually pass the savings on to the masses, I'm all for them using a cheaper company. But such projects are very few and far between these days.

Hey Everyone!

Great news!! The Coat of Arms and Dark Ages Decks will be released this Tuesday, August 26th! I will post again to let everyone know once the launch has occurred so you can take advantage of the early birds.

Here is some exciting news about the relaunch:
-I decided to go with EPCC on this run so I could offer both decks at once and lower the Goal. EPCC has a 1,000 per deck min order which allows me to lower the project goal.

-The Project Goal will be only $16,000 for both decks. (**We reached over $13,000 on the first launch)

-The Dark Ages Deck is Limited with only 1,000 Decks to be sold. (Act fast the Dark Ages Deck was the most pledged for deck)

-The Dark Ages will be sold at a reduced price.

I want to say thank you to all of my supporters and backers. Your support has been phenomenal! I have received so many emails and great messages. Lets start the relaunch out with a bang! With your pledges and help spreading the word I know the relaunch will be successful.

Thank you all very much. I really appreciate all of the support!

Thanks,

Justin

Missed the 1 each EB, so I pledged just for the standard deck. I might be in the minority, but I like it better than the LE.

The past day and half has been amazing! What an incredible start to the relaunch. Everyone has been so supportive and positive about the relaunch. We have hit $8,111 with 200 plus backers. We are half way to the $16,000 goal. Thanks everyone! Lets hit the goal and start working on some stretch goals! I have a few more stretch goal plans in the works that I will release once we hit the initial goal of $16,000.

As a reminder the Dark Ages Limited Edition Deck will be limited to only 1,000 decks. They have been going really fast!

Lets continue to spread the word about the project with family and friend. I cant say this enough, Thank you to all of the backers and supporters of this project! I cant do it without each and everyone of you!

Thanks,

Justin

Congrats Justin - you do have a great design here, which deserves to do well. Best of luck for the next $6k - and however much success you can get.

Mods: can someone remove the Bicycle part of the threads title? It's no longer being printed by USPCC.

Check out the hand made wooden card case. There is a double case for 2 deck of cards and a single for 1 deck of cards.

I HAVE GREAT NEW! BICYCLE BRANDED - BRONZE AGE DECK is NOW RELEASED!
Hey Everyone,
You asked for it and now it's here.....The Bicycle Branded - Bronze Age Deck! You can now add the Bronze Age Deck to any of your orders! The Bronze Age Deck is an add on so to help with your pledge I have included the add on screen shots that I sent out in a previous message for your convenience. I also added a price chart for the Bronze Age Deck on the project page for your easy reference. Yes, there is a price discount for multiple decks on the Add On Pricing for both the Bronze Age Deck and The Coat of Arms Deck.

This scares me. Here's why. Basically, the project has been stuck at $14,000...$2000 short of the goal. You mentioned the Bronze decks would be available if you reached $26,000 as a goal. Now, you're releasing them as an add-on. Seems like the Bicycle decks would be the most expensive to print, while most of the money is being put in for the other decks. How are you going to pay for the printing costs of the Bicycle deck? This is also a classic case of a first Kickstarter, with lots of different add-ons. There is a lot online about project creators trying to keep things simple, but this project has exploded into 3 decks with 2 different companies, poker chips, wooden cases, screen printed posters, aluminum card cases and coins. My spider sense is tingling...in a bad way.

What if this project barely funds somewhere around the $16,000 to $18,000 range? Do you have enough to print all 3 decks and all the other add-ons plus actually ship all the goods?

I have to agree. The project goal should be calculated to allow you to produce and ship the rewards with comfortable margin. Committing to a branded USPCC run before hitting the target for the basics is a big gamble with other people's money.

If you get locked in at 2500 minimum run for the bronze that's around $10k-$12k extra you need to find...

Maybe with a corporate backer like CPC this might be viable...?
