EDIT: Woah, why is the "limited edition" priced so high? Most KS decks have a print run of 2,500 so essentially all of them are limited. Even Uusi's "limited edition" decks weren't $20.

Note: I am using Uusi as a comparison because their "limited editon" decks also have a 2,500 print run. Other limited edition decks have a lower print run so it's not as good of a comparison.

The limited edition deck will have a custom tuck box and metallic ink throughout the deck. Not just on the back of the card or on the tuck but the cards will be printed with metallic ink. I also have set up tier pricing for both decks. So by purchasing with the tiered rewards you wont pay the full $20.

Dark Ages deck will include: - Limited Edition only 2,500 decks will be sold. Black deck will have gold and red metallic inks, embossed tuck box with gold foil and metallic ink. Also included, is a special seal printed by Bicycle which states "Limited Edition 2,500". In addition a numbered seal stating #/2500 will be included.

Stretch Goal $30,000 - Special Card included in every Dark Ages Deck stating Limited Edition Deck only 2,500. Also will include a Jack of Clubs Gaffe Card.

I also put in some great early birds for both decks and some special combos with the limited edition and the coat of arms deck.

One of the most popular early bird is the 1 Coat of Arms Deck plus 1 Dark Ages Deck - Limited Edition for $27.00 that averages out to $13.50 per deck. More tier pricing on the rewards as well!

Well, let me say this about that: I think it's too high as well. The fact is that creating a LE of 2500 decks increases your costs only minimally, due to the spreading of the setup and plates required over a smaller number of decks, however - those costs are under $1 per deck even at LE of 1000 decks, so for 2500 I'd say closer to 50 cents or less. I understand that the goalposts for this project's campaign are set high, and at this point it may be unrealistic to discount the price, but - if it doesn't fund, and I have my doubts, I would love to see this run again with more realistic expectations. The market is there for advanced tucks with embossing, double foiling, etc, etc - but the price is just too high. I can produce a Chromografix deck with 4 billion colors in 1600dpi format for less than that (and those will all be limited editions of 1000-1500 decks). Right now that project has been put on hold pending the factory having enough time to try it. They are slammed right now, and I expect to only increase the pressure on them starting about mid- to late-September.

That being said, I pledged for "1 of each" and I hope that the deck IS successful!

I pledged for the 2 Dark Ages decks and I'm going to add on for 2 Coat of Arms decks, even after seeing the 27K goal, which is a lofty one. I hope it happens for you, and you have a month to hustle, but I feel the odds are stacked against you.

If after a month, and you haven't reached the goal, hopefully you might rethink at EPCC version of the decks, and maybe one at a time, and a lower price point, and get a couple projects under your belt. Seems like Kickstarter is a graveyard of unfunded projects recently, and anything over 10K is a tough go.

That said, good luck! Can't get funded without trying!

But if you've been doing some research before that time then, sorry but it happens. But if you're confident you can do a good/better job, then I wouldn't mind another deck with a similar theme.

I really like this deck! The courts, the custom pip layout, the colorful back- even the tuck! Although my only, tiny little qualm is there's no red on the front of the tuck like there is everywhere else. And I'm not to keen on the black deck. But I'm still in for a pledge!
